Australia suspends live cattle exports to Indonesia (08 Jun 2011) ☠WARNING: Graphic Images☠

Indonesia: New Zealand can replace Australian beef Posted: 08 June 2011 1229 hrs JAKARTA: Indonesia said on Wednesday it could buy more beef from New Zealand after Australia suspended live cattle exports due to concerns over animal cruelty. Agriculture ministry livestock department chief Prabowo Respatiyo Caturroso said the Indonesian government was not yet satisfied that a video showing brutal abuse of Australian cattle in Indonesian slaughterhouses was authentic. But he said the government was determined to improve butchering practices wherever cruelty was discovered. "We have to respect the Australian government's decision to stop its live cattle exports to Indonesia," Caturroso told AFP. "We're fully aware that we have to improve animal welfare in our abattoirs. Our investigators are still checking the accuracy of the video on cruel treatment of livestock here," he said. Australia earlier Wednesday suspended all live cattle exports to Indonesia for up to six months after a public outcry when shocking images of mistreatment in slaughterhouses were broadcast on state television. Agriculture Minister Joe Ludwig said the trade, worth A8 million a year (US0 million), would not start again until safeguards were in place to ensure animal welfare in Indonesia. The footage broadcast by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation included kicking, hitting, gouging of eyes and breaking of tails of some animals as Indonesian workers attempted to force them into slaughter boxes ...

The Australian government has suspended live cattle exports to some Indonesian slaughterhouses following a program on Australian television that showed animals being kicked and hacked to death. Indonesian cattle traders deny allegations of cruel and inhumane treatment, but some Australian lawmakers want all live animal exports to Indonesia suspended until standards improve. We must warn viewers that some of you may find the video in this report particularly gruesome. Mil Arcega has more.

Basket, Bag and Trolley: History of Shopping in Australia (Australian Retrospectives)

The term shopping was established in England well before the first European settlers arrived in Australia, and shops quickly appeared in the new colony even though there was little to sell. This account traces the history of shopping from the first sales held on board ships in Sydney Harbour to general stores and corner stores, then the rise of the grand department stores and the cheaper chain stores, to modern supermarkets and shopping centres. It shows how men and women have had different appr

Wedding Hair & Makeup Stylist, Australia

Wedding Hair & Makeup Stylist, Australia

Hair & Makeup from your beauty stylist will complete your wedding look, and make you feel ready for your big day...and all those photographs!

Hair & Makeup Stylists

Do your research before selecting your hair & makeup stylist.  Some businesses specialise in either hair or makeup, and some can offer a combined service for a complete package.

Australian Caterers offers a great selection Australia Wide, for both Hairstylists and Makeup Artists.

It is important to know the style and look you are wanting to achieve for the day.  The weather will also play a big role as makeup and hair products, from the middle of summer to colder climates.

On your wedding day, your stylist will arrive early to setup, and work on either yourself or a selection of the bridal party and mother.  Depending on the number of people, a package deal may be a cheaper and more suitable option for you.

Hairdressers can be very capable, and generally require your hair to be washed the night before.  Ask your stylist of any requirements they may have.  If you have really long hair, and wish it to be in an upstyle, allow additional time in the morning, and possibly time after the reception for any touch ups before the reception.

Having your closest family and friends around getting ready, possibly with a champagne breakfast is a wonderfully relaxing and great way to start your wedding morning.

Enjoy your pampering and remember to smile, as you look beautiful.

Australian Caterers has FREE Business listing across Australia for all Wedding and Function related companies, so check out the our website if you are planning a function or event.

Port Douglas Australia Resorts

port douglas australia resorts
names of some good hotels in Sydney....?

so this july/august (like my other question) lol.. I am going to Australia to several places, i have a place in port douglas im staying and i have family that lives in canberra, but sydney I have been looking for hotels, and theres sooo many i must admit, this is my first time going to australia so i was looking for advice for good hotels to stay at in sydney, it doesnt have to be extreamly cheap or anything but not over priced either i dont mind paying a bit, if i get a good quality out of it, however anyway i can save money is great to, i would love something close to the water, but also close to the best parts of sydney, i like places that are historic with character but modern and chic is great too. overall just a place that will provide a great experience, i'd prefer a resort, or hotel..thanks so much!

look at places in manly! i live 20 mins from there, but manly has beaches, the harbour and ferries to get to the city, buses to go anywhere you like, restaurants, shops and its a historical place in itself. i havent stayed in any places there since im local, but yeah :) just look up manly corso or manly wharf hotels and you should find something you like.

if you dont like manly you could try bondi. one of the best beaches in australia ive never been to bondi so im not sure about the location of it :)
